Hi, I’m Thomas. 🤗
I am currently with the Bundesamt für Kartographie und Geodäsie (https://www.bkg.bund.de/), working at the intersection of digital twins and large-scale airborne LiDAR data. Previously, I obtained my Ph.D. (02/2022 - 07/2025) at the Technical University of Darmstadt under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Max Mühlhäuser and Dr. Alejandro Sanchez Guinea (my dissertation). My work primarily focused on LiDAR-based scene understanding tasks and (multi-modal) representation learning. More specifically, I have worked on various interesting problems and areas, including LiDAR motion segmentation, LiDAR semantic segmentation, crowd simulation, and multi-modal contrastive learning. Please find my peer-reviewed publications below if you are interested in my work.
